DVD Overview:
The animated TV series "South Park" certainly has many fans, although the show's humor is definitely for grown-ups and can be crass, tasteless, and decidedly politically incorrect. The "South Park: The Complete Fifth Season" DVD set has 14 episodes of the fifth season, including the Emmy-nominated episode "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants." In addition, bonus materials on the DVD include "South Park" short (five-to-seven minute) mini-commentaries by series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Brief DVD Review:
"South Park" is definitely a guilty pleasure for me. I'll forgive this series its flaws, especially when it is funny. I got a lot of laughs out of watching this DVD set, but I also was offended at times. In my opinion, the DVD set was worth watching for the humor and entertainment value of the show itself. The mini-commentaries by Parker and Stone didn't add all that much to the experience for me.
