Adapted from the Newbery Award-winning novel by Katherine Paterson, this movie is about the friendship between a pair of fifth-graders. Growing up in a rural area, 10-year-old Jess Aarons (Josh Hutcherson) is good at drawing and painting. Then Leslie Burke (AnnaSophia Robb), a girl who is into writing, becomes his neighbor, and the two kids become inseparable friends. They happen upon a secluded wood containing an abandoned tree house, and there they imagine themselves as being in a magical fantasy world. Selected DVD Special Features:

Bugs! DVD

Originally released in IMAX theaters in 2003, this nature documentary narrated by Judi Dench is about various insects in the lush Borneo rain forest. But the focus is on the life cycles of two particular bugs: Papilio, a caterpillar that transforms into a butterfly, and Hierodula, a praying mantis that stalks prey and mates with a female twice his size. However, other insects are also shown, including leafcutter ants and a pair of dueling rhinoceros beetles. The film is a presentation of the pest control company Terminix.

Reno 911!: Miami DVD

MPAA Rating: R for sexual content, nudity, crude humor, language and drug use (An unrated version of this movie is also available on DVD.)
A spoof of the long-running television show Cops, Reno 911! is a Comedy Central TV program about eight goofy people who are supposed to enforce the law in Reno, Nevada. Reno 911!: Miami is a feature-length version of the Comedy Central show, and the movie has all eight regulars going to a police convention in Florida. There a weird crisis arises that leaves the Reno sheriffs as the only law enforcement for all of Miami. They have to deal with an alligator in a swimming pool and a dead whale at a topless beach.
