Leonardo DiCaprio stars in this biopic directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Dustin Lance Black (Milk). DiCaprio portrays J. Edgar Hoover (1895-1972), who headed the FBI for decades. There are episodes in Hoover's career, from the 1919 bombing of Attorney General Mitchell Palmer's home to battling Prohibition-era mobsters to the Lindbergh kidnapping to bugging the bedroom of Martin Luther King Jr. On the personal side, Hoover's second in command, Clyde Tolson (Armie Hammer), is his longtime companion, and Hoover also has a domineering mother (Judi Dench). Naomi Watts plays his loyal secretary.

Tower Heist DVD

Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy star in this crime comedy directed by Brett Ratner (the Rush Hour trilogy). The story centers on the Tower, a Manhattan residential high-rise where Josh (Stiller) is the building manager. The Tower's owner, Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda), lives in the penthouse, and he also runs a wealth management business. Josh and other building employees have entrusted their life savings to Shaw, but then they learn he is to be charged with fraud. That's when they hatch a plan to break into the penthouse and steal Shaw's money, but they need help and enlist the aid of a small-time crook (Murphy).

Puss in Boots DVD

This animated film takes the swashbuckling feline character Puss in Boots (voice of Antonio Banderas) from the Shrek franchise and makes him the central character in his own movie. In Puss in Boots, the title character gets a love interest in Kitty Softpaws (voice of Salma Hayek). Puss is also after some magic beans possessed by the outlaws Jack and Jill (voices of Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris). The idea is to grow a giant beanstalk to reach golden eggs laid by a huge goose. Another key character is an egg named Humpty Dumpty (voice of Zach Galifianakis). Shrek and Donkey do not appear in this movie.
