Netflix to Charge an Additional Dollar a Month for Blu-ray

Netflix has been permitting subscribers to rent Blu-ray discs at no extra cost, but the online rental company has announced that will change November 5, 2008. At that time, subscribers who don't take action to opt out will automatically be charged an additional dollar per month plus taxes, in return for which they will be allowed to rent Blu-ray discs. If you are one of the many Netflix subscribers who does not want to pay the monthly surcharge, you must notify the company by way of the Your Account page at their Web site.
