The Netflix Player Allows You to Stream Movies to Your TV

Netflix now offers an option to subscribers allowing them to stream movies via the Internet to their TV. This service will require a set-top box called The Netflix Player made by Roku. The box is priced at $99.99 and is claimed to work with any TV. Netflix subscribers paying $8.99 or more per month do not pay any additional fees to the movie rental company. However, in addition to the initial outlay to obtain the box, the user will need to have connectivity between their computer and the box. Also, the user must have a fast enough Internet connection to support the streaming. Currently Netflix offers only about 10,000 titles for viewing with the set-top box, and most of these are older releases. For Netflix subscribers, the service will not affect how many DVDs they can receive by mail.
