Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning star in this drama about a race horse and a young girl. When a promising horse breaks its leg, trainer Ben Crane (Russell) nurses it back to health with his daughter Cale (Fanning) there every step of the way. Eventually, the horse wins a big race, and father and daughter reconnect.

While I don't actively dislike nature documentaries, I invariably find something else to do rather than watch the ones that air on TV. Thus, it came as something of a surprise to me that I so enjoyed "March of the Penguins" (2005), the hit documentary about the breeding cycle of emperor penguins in Antarctica. I highly recommend this movie to adults and children alike.

This kids'adventure movie was shown in 3-D on the big screen. The story was developed from ideas suggested to director Robert Rodriguez by his seven-year-old son Racer. In the film, ten-year-old Max imagines a boy who is part shark and a girl who can control lava living in a place called Planet Drool. Then Max goes with Sharkboy and Lavagirl to their world, where they battle villains who look exactly like Max's teacher at school and Max's bullying classmate.
Adapted from the children's novel by Kate DiCamillo, this warmhearted drama is about a 10-year-old girl called Opal (AnnaSophia Robb). Opal has just moved to the small town of Naomi, Florida, with her preacher father (Jeff Daniels) and is having a difficult time adjusting.

Michelle Trachtenberg, Kim Cattrall, and Joan Cusack star in this lighthearted figure-skating movie. Casey (Trachtenberg), a high school student who's good at physics, conducts research on the movements of ice skaters. But along the way, she begins participating in the sport and gets coaching from a former Olympics-caliber competitor (Cattrall).
This is a children's animated movie based on A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh stories.
