Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star in this comedy written and directed by Michael McCullers, and all three of these people have Saturday Night Live backgrounds. Kate (Fey) is an unmarried 37-year-old executive who desperately wants a baby and goes to a surrogacy agency run by a woman played by Sigourney Weaver. Angie (Poehler), a lower-class type, ends up carrying the child. The story involves Angie splitting from her common-law husband and moving in with Kate, forming an odd couple.
