This suspense thriller revolves around the cellphone. Jessica Martin (Kim Basinger) is kidnapped and imprisoned in an attic. The crooks smash the old attic phone, but she manages to place a single, random call on it. Her call reaches the cellphone of a college-age kid named Ryan (Chris Evans), who doggedly races around L.A.'s West Side in an attempt to help Jessica. Also in the movie are William H. Macy as a cop and Jason Statham as a bad guy.
