This TV series about the wonders of nature originally aired on the BBC in the UK in 2009 and on the Discovery Channel in the US in 2010. David Attenborough narrated the BBC version, while Oprah Winfrey narrated the Discovery version. In the US and Canada, there are separate DVD editions for the two versions, and separate Blu-ray editions as well. Containing a lot of spectacular footage, Life is about the struggle for survival. The series mainly shows a large number of atypical examples of animals obtaining food, predators and prey, mating, parenting and adaptation.
