Shot over a period of four years in about 18 countries by Tarsem, a longtime director of music videos and commercials, this inventive fantasy presents a stunning series of visual images, although there's little narrative drive. The film is structured around a girl named Alexandria (Catinca Untaru), who is hospitalized with a broken arm in 1915 Los Angeles. She befriends a despondent, paralyzed stuntman named Roy (Lee Pace), who wants to commit suicide. Roy tells Alexandria a tall tale, and the movie goes inside her mind as she imagines how everything looks. Selected DVD Special Features:
