Other Supplementary Materials
There's a 36-minute extra on the DVD labeled "A Pierrot Primer," which, despite its title, isn't particularly elementary or introductory. It consists of filmmaker and educator Jean-Pierre Gorin giving a lecture that covers only the movie's first 15 minutes. Although he does point out a few noteworthy details, his analysis doesn't much help the viewer toward an overall understanding of the film.
The DVD also contains a 15-minute 2008 interview of Anna Karina, who discusses working with Godard back in the 1960s. She has some interesting comments about making films with him, but says nothing at all about the personal lives of herself and her former husband.
Other DVD bonus materials include vintage video interviews with Belmondo, Godard and Karina. In addition, the booklet packaged with the DVD contains a 15-page interview with Godard that originally appeared in a 1965 issue of Cahiers du cinéma.
