Miscellaneous Additional DVD Bonus Materials

The best of the rest is probably the 10-minute featurette "This Country Beats France," which is about Moore's trip to Norway, particularly to a penal facility there. The four-and-a-half-minute "Uniquely American" is about a cancer patient in Texas who couldn't get treatment until she came up with thousands of dollars via fundraising activities. In the three-and-a-half-minute "What If You Worked for G.E. in France?" Moore learns that you would have five weeks annual vacation, plus 20 additional days off each year, and your workweek would consist of only 35 hours. Moore also talks to a nun in a Havana church for a minute and a half in "Sister Mary Fidel," and she claims the Cuban government does not interfere with her practicing her faith. In the six-minute "Who Would Jesus Deny?" a Texas priest tells the heartbreaking tale of the death of one of his impoverished parishioners, a cancer victim unable to pay for treatment.

Also on the DVD is the nine-minute "Sicko Goes to Washington," which is an attempt by Moore to drum up support for H.R. 676, a bill that would create a publicly financed universal healthcare system in the United States. In addition, there's three minutes on Sicko's premiere, which took place on L.A.'s skid row, just in front of the Union Rescue Mission. This is the location where, as shown in the movie, an indigent woman was dumped by a hospital.
