In this comedy, young Benjamin Fiedler (Daryl Sabara) dreads his upcoming bar mitzvah. His father Adam (Jeremy Piven) is arranging an elaborate event intended to outdo an extravagant one given recently by his rival, Arnie Stein. Benjamin invites his grandfather Irwin (Garry Marshall), who has been estranged from the Fiedler family since he walked out on them 26 years ago, and Irwin shows up with his girlfriend Sacred Feather (Daryl Hannah). Richard Benjamin plays the role of Rabbi Schulberg.
