"Kicking & Screaming" DVD
Will Ferrell and Robert Duvall star in this family comedy that centers around kids' soccer. Ferrell portrays mild-mannered Phil, son of the gung-ho, competitive Buck (Duvall). But when Buck, coach of a winning kids' soccer team, trades away Phil's benchwarmer son, Phil takes on the task of coaching his son's new team. That team is initially extremely weak, but with help from Mike Ditka, Phil recruits a pair of good Italian players and soon has his team headed for a showdown with Buck's.

The film consists of many small interwoven incidents involving quirky characters, some of whom are kids.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" DVD
Based on the book by Douglas Adams, this is a goofy sci-fi comedy movie. The protagonist is Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman), an ordinary man who goes on a strange journey when extraterrestrial aliens destroy Earth. Aided by his pal (Mos Def), Arthur escapes by hitching a ride on an alien spaceship. Eventually Arthur encounters the galaxy president (Sam Rockwell) and his female companion (Zooey Deschanel), a religious leader (John Malkovich), and a supercomputer (voice of Helen Mirren).
"Fever Pitch" DVD
Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon are paired in this romantic comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers and based on a book by Nick Hornby. Lindsey (Barrymore) is a high-powered businesswoman who enters into a relationship with Ben (Fallon), a Boston high school teacher.

Queen Latifah stars in this comedy, which was spun off from "Barbershop 2." Gina (Latifah) moves from Chicago to Atlanta, where she works as a hair stylist for Jorge (Kevin Bacon). After a falling-out with Jorge, she opens her own beauty shop and has employees played by Alicia Silverstone and Alfre Woodard. Gina's clients include socialites portrayed by Andie MacDowell and Mena Suvari. Also, Gina has a romance with a man played by Djimon Hounsou.
"Guess Who" DVD
Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher star in this comedy, a remake of "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" (1967). In the earlier film, a white woman brought her black fiancé (Sidney Poitier) home to meet her parents (Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn). In the remake, an African-American woman (Zoë Saldaña) brings her white fiancé (Kutcher) home to meet her parents (Mac and Judith Scott). The story centers mainly around the father and the fiancé coming to terms with each other.
"Monster-in-Law" DVD
Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda star in this comedy. Charlie (Lopez) is busy working several low-level jobs and not dating anyone when she meets Kevin Fields (Michael Vartan), a surgeon. Charlie and Kevin quickly fall in love and plan to wed, but the marriage is opposed by Kevin's mother Viola (Fonda), who thinks Charlie isn't good enough for her son. Viola does everything she can to sabotage the marriage, but Charlie has a few tricks of her own.
"Kung Fu Hustle" DVD
Stephen Chow co-wrote, directed, and stars in this Chinese-language martial arts comedy, which is set in a Chinese city in the late 1940s. The story centers around an apartment complex called Pig Sty Alley. Sing (Chow) is a lowlife who tries to set up a shakedown racket in the complex, but runs into stiff resistance from the residents. The resulting commotion brings in the feared Axe Gang. But this is all just an excuse to stage a series of comic action sequences.
"King's Ransom" DVD
This comedy stars Anthony Anderson as wealthy Chicago businessman Malcolm King. To keep a big chunk of his money out of the hands of his estranged wife, King hatches a plot to make it look as though he's been kidnapped, and he'll collect the ransom. Not only does this plan go awry, but King becomes the target of three other overlapping kidnapping schemes. Joining Anderson in the high jinx are Jay Mohr, Donald Faison, Regina Hall, and Kellita Smith.
"Bride and Prejudice" DVD
Directed by Gurinder Chadha ("Bend It Like Beckham") and starring the beautiful Aishwarya Rai, this film features Bollywood-like musical numbers. Set in the 21st century, the movie is loosely based on Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" with Austen's Lizzie Bennet renamed Lalita Bakshi (Rai). Although Lalita and wealthy American businessman Will Darcy (Martin Henderson) clash at first, they eventually gradually fall for each other.
"Diary of a Mad Black Woman" DVD
Adapted from a Tyler Perry play, this movie mixes melodrama, farce, and Christian values. After 18 years of marriage, Helen (Kimberly Elise) is kicked out of the mansion she has shared with her successful attorney husband (Steve Harris). That prompts Helen's gun-toting grandma Madea (Tyler Perry in drag) to take a chainsaw to the mansion's furniture. The film chronicles what happens to Helen, and Tyler Perry plays three major roles.
"Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous" DVD
This comedy is the sequel to "Miss Congeniality" (2000), and Sandra Bullock again plays the starring role of ditsy F.B.I. agent Gracie Hart. In the earlier movie, Gracie went undercover as a beauty pageant contestant, but now with her cover blown, she is assigned the public relations job of being the face of the Bureau. But when people Gracie got to know at the beauty pageant are kidnapped, she ignores her orders and sets out to rescue them.
