Movie Summary:
This action-adventure film stars Matthew McConaughey, Steve Zahn, and Penélope Cruz. Treasure-hunter Dirk Pitt (McConaughey), accompanied by his sidekick Al Giordino (Zahn), goes to Africa in search of an American Civil War ironclad ship he believes to be buried in the Sahara Desert. On their journey, they meet Dr. Eva Rojas (Cruz), who is investigating a dangerous plague. Soon Dirk, Al, and Eva uncover some dastardly goings-on and work to prevent an environmental catastrophe.
