Shown in 3-D in theaters, this action-adventure film relies on arresting underwater photography to achieve its full impact. The setting is the largely uncharted Esa'ala caves in Papua New Guinea. A group of adventurers go to visit the caves under the leadership of veteran explorer Frank (Richard Roxburgh), who brings along his estranged 17-year-old son Josh. Others in the group include the wealthy man (Ioan Gruffudd) who is paying for the expedition and his girlfriend. When a monster storm causes floods in the caves, everyone scrambles to try to get to safety, but there are grisly deaths.
