Oliver Stone directed this sequel to his 1987 film Wall Street, and Michael Douglas returns as Gordon Gekko. But the main character is young investment banker Jake Moore (Shia LaBeouf), who lives with Gekko's estranged daughter (Carey Mulligan). This time around, the story takes place mainly in 2008 during the worldwide financial crisis. Gekko is now a bestselling author after having done an eight-year stint in prison. Another key character is Bretton James (Josh Brolin), a villainous investment banker. Also in the movie are Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon and Eli Wallach.
