Matt Damon stars in this peculiar dark comedy directed by Steven Soderbergh. The movie is based on a true story written up in a long nonfiction book by Kurt Eichenwald. Damon put on a lot of weight to play Mark Whitacre, a senior executive at the Decatur, Illinois, corporate headquarters of agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland. In the 1990s Whitacre voluntarily became an FBI informant, gathering evidence of ADM's price fixing. But at the same time, he was involved in behavior that is difficult to understand. The film uses music by Marvin Hamlisch.
