Cameron Diaz and James Marsden star in this sci-fi thriller based on the Richard Matheson short story "Button, Button," which also served as source material for an episode of The Twilight Zone. In the movie, Norma and Arthur Lewis (Diaz and Marsden) are taken aback when creepy Arlington Steward (Frank Langella) delivers a mysterious box to their home. He says if they push the button on the box, they will receive $1,000,000, but someone they don't know will die. This gives rise to a complicated series of events involving the CIA, NASA, nosebleeds, kidnapping and murder.
