Michael Cera stars in this comedy based on a graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. Set in an alternate reality version of Toronto, the story takes place in a fantasy world like those found in comic books and video games. The protagonist is Scott Pilgrim (Cera), a geeky 22-year-old bass guitarist for the band Sex Bob-omb. Scott is dating high school girl Knives Chau (Ellen Wong), when he meets and becomes obsessed with Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). However, he must defeat Ramona's seven evil exes — six males and one female — in stylized battles to the death.
