Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler star in this revenge thriller. Two thugs break into the home of Clyde Shelton (Butler) and brutally murder his wife and daughter. Assistant DA Nick Rice (Foxx) gets the death penalty for one of the killers, but settles for a plea bargain from the other, allowing him to get off with a light sentence. Shelton bides his time for 10 years, then sets out on a program to kill the surviving murderer, Rice and everyone else in the justice system who was involved in the case. Shelton is jailed, but he manages to continue to carry out his program from behind bars.
