"K-9: P.I." (2002) DVD
In "K-9: P.I.," policeman Thomas Dooley (James Belushi)
and his canine sidekick Jerry Lee are on the verge of retirement when
they witness an armed robbery of a computer company. Dooley's superiors
suspect he's somehow involved in the crime, and his pension is frozen
until he can be proven innocent. Short on funds, Dooley takes on cases
as a private investigator while he also investigates on his own, hoping
to prove his innocence and restore his pension. Unfortunately, Dooley
still is broke enough and desperate enough to put Jerry Lee out to
stud. I got quite a few laughs from James Belushi and his cute canine
sidekick, but the film's plot was uneven and failed to capture my
attention. In addition, all the clichés in the movie started
to grate on my nerves. I cannot fully recommend "K-9: P.I."
However, fans of the previous movies in the "K-9" series
will probably enjoy this film. |
