"Chris Botti & Friends Night Sessions: Live In Concert"
DVD
I thoroughly enjoyed the silkily evocative smooth jazz on the "Chris
Botti & Friends Night Sessions: Live in Concert" DVD. However,
I'll admit that occasionally some of the music sounded a little
too much like a slick movie score or innocuous bookstore background
music. But I liked what Botti did with "Why Not," and
I loved Sting's performance of "Moon Over Bourbon Street"
and Shawn Colvin's performance of "All the World Would Envy."
Although Chris Botti's smooth jazz style is highly polished and
won't appeal to all tastes, I highly recommend this concert DVD.
