"Muhammad Ali - Through the Eyes of the World"
Originally made for British TV, "Muhammad Ali - Through the Eyes of the World" is a documentary that chronicles the life of the African American who won the heavyweight boxing crown three times. Called Cassius Clay for the first 24 years of his life, he changed his name when he became a Black Muslim. During the Vietnam War, Ali caused controversy by refusing induction into the armed services on religious grounds. I really like the way this documentary covers Ali’s boxing career, his political struggles, and his personal life, including a little about his four wives and some of his nine children. While the documentary provides a good overview of Ali’s life, what I find most fascinating are the many quirky details.
