"Dr. Strangelove" DVD
A psychotic U.S. Air Force general who seeks to protect his precious bodily fluids from the Communists dispatches 34 bombers to attack the U.S.S.R. with nuclear weapons. To deal with the crisis, U.S. President Muffley (Peter Sellers) assembles his top advisors, including ex-Nazi scientist Dr. Strangelove (Sellers again) and warmonger General Turgidson (George C. Scott), in the War Room at the Pentagon. I’ve watched this great film many times over the years, and I’ve found something new in it every time. I always laugh at this movie while I’m watching it, as well as when I think about it later, but it always frightens me a little to realize how we humans create technologies that we can’t completely control.
