Tagline: "This summer it's all about sticking together." Length: 104 minutes "American Pie 2" is a good-natured comedy that is filled with raunchy, low-brow humor. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind low-brow humor—I just insist that it must be funny. And "American Pie 2" is a hoot. Most people who love a good laugh will probably enjoy it. I had a great time when I watched the unrated Collectors Edition on DVD. In fact, it seemed even funnier than the original "American Pie." All the hilarious major cast members from the earlier film are back. This time around, Jim (Jason Biggs) and his buddies have just finished their first year of college, and for the summer the sex-obsessed guys rent a lakeside house, where they are joined by the lecherous Stifler (Seann William Scott). Jim still suffers from performance anxiety, but he gets some help from band geek Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). Also, when Jim applies to his body what he believes to be a lubricant that turns out to be glue, he has to be taken to the hospital by his father (Eugene Levy). And there are other funny sequences as well, including one where three of the guys watch two scantily clad babes kiss and caress each other, but the gals make the guys pay a price for their voyeurism. As you might expect with a sequel, much of the humor revolves around jokes that spark off the original film, but I’ll admit that I laughed myself silly, so I’m not really complaining. But if you’ve never seen the "American Pie" that inspired this sequel, I’d highly recommend seeing the original film first. The DVD is also packed with entertaining, informative, and often very funny special features, and I’ve included a list of most of them below. Selected Special Features on the DVD
