The major new video/DVD release of interest slated for December 2, 2003, is "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl." Additional new releases include "Alias - The Complete Second Season " and "Star Trek Deep Space Nine - The Complete Seventh Season." We'll also take a sneak peek at next week's movies on video/DVD, including "Assassination Tango," "Bad Boys II," "Gigli," and "How to Deal."

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"

MPAA Rating: PG-13 for action/adventure violence

Starring Johnny Depp, this action comedy is based on the Disney theme park ride. The "Black Pearl" is a ship belonging to Capt. Jack Sparrow (Depp) that is stolen by Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). Then the men aboard the "Black Pearl" fall under a strange curse and kidnap Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Sparrow teams with Elizabeth's admirer (Orlando Bloom) to retrieve the ship and rescue the young woman, leading to swashbuckling.
