There are some interesting video/DVD releases slated for November 25, 2003, including, "Bruce Almighty," "The Man on the Train," and "X2: X-Men United." In addition, we'll take a sneak peek at next week's movies on video/DVD.

"Bruce Almighty"

Length: 101 minutes
MPAA Rating:  PG-13 for language, sexual content and some crude humor

Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston, and Morgan Freeman star in this comedy. Bruce Nolan (Carrey) is a Buffalo TV reporter who gets very angry when he's passed over for promotion to anchor. He blames God, who appears in the form of a man (Freeman) and turns His powers over to Bruce. Bruce's performance in his new role is laughable, but he becomes a better person as a result of the experience. Aniston plays Bruce's longtime girlfriend.

"The Man on the Train"

MPAA Rating: R for some language and brief violence

Patrice Leconte directed this character-driven French-language drama. Manesquier (Jean Rochefort) is an aging retired teacher who lives quietly in a French provincial town. Then one day a craggy stranger named Milan (singer Johnny Hallyday) gets off a train, having come to rob a bank. Milan ends up staying at Manesquier's house, where the two men develop a peculiar friendship, each striking a strange chord in the other.

"X2: X-Men United"

Tagline: "The time has come for those who are different to stand united."

Length: 133 minutes
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for sci-fi action/violence, some sexuality and brief language

This is the sequel to the Marvel Comics-derived "X-Men" (2000), and most of the actors from the original are back, including Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. The idea is still that there are superhero mutants among us, and this time around a new villain, Gen. William Stryker (Brian Cox), is out to kill them all off. The mutants are forced to work together in an effort to stop Stryker.
