15 Minutes

Tagline: "America likes to watch."
Length: 120 minutes
MPAA Rating: R for strong
violence, language and some sexuality
15 Minutes is a suspense drama revolving around two Eastern Europeans whose notion of life in the United States has been shaped by American movies and TV they saw back home. They travel to New York and go on a crime spree while one of them records everything with a video camera. New York police detective Eddie Flemming (Robert De Niro) and fire investigator Jordy Warsaw (Edward Burns) try to apprehend the criminals, while the media, particularly tabloid TV host Robert Hawkins (Kelsey Grammer), has a field day. Although this fast-paced film is a thriller, it also satirizes the medias preoccupation with violence.

Length: 95 minutes
MPAA Rating:
R for strong sexual content including dialogue, and for language
Tomcats is a gross-out comedy where a group of men have contributed to an investment fund for years with the understanding that the last one to marry will keep all the proceeds. With the fund at $500,000, only Michael (Jerry OConnell) and Kyle (Jake Busey) remain single. Desperate to get the money to repay a gambling debt, Michael tells Natalie (Shannon Elizabeth) that he will split the money with her if she marries Kyle. But the plot is merely a framework on which to hang jokes about bodily functions, sex, and genitals, including one about a surgically removed testicle being eaten.
