“Analyze
That” (2002)

This comedy is a sequel to "Analyze This" (1999), and Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal, and Lisa Kudrow reprise their roles from the earlier film. In "Analyze That," mob boss Paul Vitti (De Niro) is in jail in Sing Sing when he seemingly has a nervous breakdown and begins singing songs from "West Side Story." Vitti is released in the custody of his psychotherapist Ben Sobel (Crystal), who is now married to Laura (Kudrow). The mob boss actually stays at the Sobels' house, where his shenanigans nearly drive them crazy. Vitti is required to get a job, and he works as a consultant to a TV crime drama series based on "Little Caesar." But soon Vitti finds himself entangled with two rival mob clans and involved in a heist, and inevitably Dr. Sobel is drawn into the mess as well.

“Comedian”

This documentary follows veteran standup comic Jerry Seinfeld as he develops an all-new act to perform live on stages. Filmed over the course of a year, the movie shows Seinfeld talking with other professional entertainers, such as Chris Rock, Colin Quinn, Robert Klein, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, and Bill Cosby. Also, the film shows Seinfeld preparing new material and trying it out in front of small test audiences. The movie gives insight into the huge amount of hard work that goes into making people laugh, even for an experienced, successful comedian like Jerry Seinfeld, who agonizes over every word. By way of counterpoint, the documentary also shows some footage of Orny Adams, a comic who appears to be up-and-coming, as he tries to gain wider recognition.

“Equilibrium”

This action sci-fi movie stars Christian Bale, Emily Watson, and Taye Diggs. The story is set sometime in the near future after World War III has taken place. The rulers of the survivors have determined that it has become too dangerous to permit humans their full range of feelings, and it has been made mandatory that everyone take a daily dose of a drug called Prozium, which suppresses emotions. In this repressive society, John Preston (Bale) is a member of the law enforcement group known as the Clerics. But when Preston fails to take his Prozium, he falls under the influence of a dissident named Mary O'Brien (Watson). Preston then decides to switch sides, and he tries to reach an underground rebel group while avoiding the pursuit of fanatical Clerics, including one called Brandt (Diggs).

Hot Chick” (2002)

This is a Rob Schneider comedy where two people of opposite gender switch bodies with each other. Schneider plays Clive, a thirtyish petty criminal who switches bodies with a spoiled high school cheerleader named Jessica (Rachel McAdams). The switch occurs because of a curse on a pair of ancient earrings. The movie then mainly follows what happens to Jessica during the time she looks like (and is played by) Rob Schneider. Jessica has a little trouble figuring out her new plumbing, her girlfriends are interested in her penis, and she gets some unwanted romantic attention. Meanwhile, Clive, during the time he looks like (and is played by) Rachel McAdams, becomes an exotic dancer. "The Hot Chick" is basically a teen movie where crude gags involving sex and bodily functions abound.
