Marlon Brando
(1924 - 2004)

Marlon Brando has died at age 80, but the movies he appeared in are still with us. I think his two best performances were in "On the Waterfront" (1954) and "The Godfather" (1972), and he won Best Actor Academy Awards for both. However, he appeared in several other films where I think he was memorable, including "Apocalypse Now" (1979), "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951), "Last Tango in Paris" (1972), "The Wild One" (1953), and "Guys and Dolls" (1955). All these movies are readily available on DVD, but most are becoming difficult to find on VHS.
