The Bottom Line
Pros
- Mythic world created by the show works well with the fast-paced action of many of the episodes
- Xena is an intriguing mythic character
- Lucy Lawless is terrific as the larger-than-life, yet all-too-human heroine
Cons
- In spite of all the fast-paced action, some episodes didnt draw me in completely
- The shows tongue-in-cheek campiness often undermined dramatic momentum
- Show's mythic world is more cartoonish than realistic (could be a pro)

Guide Review - "Xena: Warrior Princess - Season Three" DVD
I cant exactly be called a fan of Xena: Warrior Princess yet, but after watching both season two and season three on DVD, Im beginning to understand this cult TV shows appeal. Im not sure if its because Im becoming more familiar with the show and its characters, but overall, I enjoyed the Xena: Warrior Princess - Season Three slightly more than the season two DVD set. The mythic world created by the show works well with the fast-paced action of many of the episodes. Also, Xena is an intriguing mythic character, and Lucy Lawless is terrific as the larger-than-life, yet all-too-human heroine.
The Xena Warrior Princess Season Three nine-disc DVD set includes all 22 original episodes of the shows third season. This is a DVD set that many devoted fans of this cult TV show will be sure to enjoy. In addition to containing the complete third season of the show, there are hours of bonus materials such as interviews, a CD-ROM disc, and more.
