Guide Review - "Bowling for Columbine" DVD Review
I think Michael Moores Bowling for Columbine is the best documentary Ive ever seen. Moore takes on the subject of guns in America, but it seems to me the film is really more about the larger topic of the countrys so-called culture of violence. He doesnt get into specific public-policy issues; instead he presents some freewheeling reflections on why so many Americans are killed with guns. Moores dark humor made me laugh a lot while watching the movie, but he did leave me pondering certain aspects of American history, mass media, and racial tension. While I dont entirely endorse Moores views and methods, I found Bowling for Columbine to be well worth watching.
