"Futurama - Season One" DVD Review I laughed myself silly watching the "Futurama Season One" DVDs. Both fans and those new to this animated TV show by "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening will probably enjoy this DVD set. "The Ring" DVD Review I found "The Ring" to be sometimes creepy, but I would have been more horrified if the characters had been developed enough to draw me in fully. Road to Perdition DVD Review I thought the acting and cinematography were superb in this film, but the screenplay gave the movie a genre feel, and the characters were not fully developed. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" DVD Review Although not a perfect film, I thought "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" had the combination of humor, warmth, and romance that so many filmmakers try for but seldom achieve. I found it to be a delight. "Angel Season One" Six-Disc DVD Set "Angel Season One" on DVD pleasantly surprised me. I liked the film-noir feel of "Angel," along with the show's entertaining mix of horror, action, and drama. "Signs" DVD In spite of its corporate feel, "Signs" is very entertaining and has several jump-out-of-your-seat thrilling moments. "Minority Report" Two-Disc DVD Set I found "Minority Report" to be very entertaining, as well as intellectually satisfying. To my mind it ranks with Spielbergs best work. "Monsters, Inc." DVD I think young children will generally like "Monsters, Inc." a lot, and theres enough humor aimed at grownups that I think most adults wont mind watching it with a kid. |
