Guide Review - "Monsters, Inc." DVD
"Monsters, Inc." centers around the company that supplies the power for the world where monsters live. Monsters, Inc. employees visit the human world at night, collect kids' screams, take the screams back to the monster world, and use them to generate power. But when a human kid stumbles into the monster world, a goofy pair of Monsters, Inc. employees have adventures as they try to return her to the human world. I loved the first half hour of "Monsters, Inc.," but then it lost energy. There's not much music in the film, and there's a chase sequence I found interminable. Still, I think young children will like the movie a lot, and there's enough humor aimed at grownups that I think adults won't mind watching it with a kid.
