"Son of the Beach - Volume One” DVD Review

About.com Rating 3.5

The Bottom Line

“Son of the Beach” has something to offend almost everyone, but it is also laugh-out-loud funny throughout. But it’s not for kids or for anyone who’s easily offended.

Guide Review - "Son of the Beach - Volume One” DVD Review

In the “Son of the Beach – Volume One” DVDs, Notch Johnson (Timothy Stack) and his crew of sexy, but somewhat hapless, lifeguards patrol the beach of Malibu Adjacent, saving lives, solving crimes, and getting involved in side-splitting adventures along the way. Despite cringing occasionally because of the crude, tasteless humor, along with its many offensive and politically incorrect jokes, I thoroughly enjoyed the “Son of the Beach - Volume One” three-disc DVD set. But I have to admit the DVDs were a guilty pleasure. I found that the “Son of the Beach - Volume One” DVDs were a laugh-out loud funny spoof of sand, surf, and television shows such as “Baywatch.”
