Guide Review - "Wrong Turn" DVD Review
Although there were a couple of moments that truly startled me, overall Wrong Turn was so predictable, campy, and over-the-top that it was a hard film to take seriously. The story follows a pattern familiar to many horror movies: good-looking young people fall into a situation that puts them peril. The question driving the drama is: who will survive? When some attractive, citified young adults travel deep into the West Virginia backwoods, their vehicles become disabled, and before long they find themselves being hunted by disfigured, inbred mountain men. The bloodthirsty mountain men are cannibals who are out to murder the young people, and things get grisly.
