Netflix is increasing its prices on its two most popular plans by $1.00 a month. The unlimited plan offering one DVD out at a time goes up from $8.99 to $9.99, and the unlimited plan offering two DVDs out at a time goes up from $13.99 to $14.99. All the other plans that offer unlimited DVDs also increase in price, one of them by $8.00 a month. The plan that limits the subscriber to two DVDs per month remains at $4.99. Also, Netflix will offer a streaming only plan -- the subscriber gets no DVDs at all -- for $7.99 a month. According to Netflix, the company's focus is now on streaming because their subscribers already watch more TV episodes and movies that way than on DVD.
