I remember seeing the title "Ugetsu monogatari" (1953) on various lists of great movies for years before an opportunity arose for me to catch it at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Now I am thrilled to own the Criterion Collection two-disc DVD set containing that movie under the shorter title "Ugetsu." Read the DVD review...
